We are very pleased to announce that Ramon Abalo, General Manager Asia-Pacific at APG eCommerce Solutions will be speaking at the World Mail & Express Asia Conference (WMX Asia) 2019.
Originally from Santiago de Compostela, Spain, Ramon now resides between Shanghai and Hong Kong. Since 2008, he has worked in various senior positions for several multinational organizations.
Ramon got into the logistics industry when he first visited China in 2008. A year later he founded his first entrepreneurial project, Qualop. Qualop focused on selling Chinese goods into the European market through eCommerce marketplaces like eBay.
After his first entrepreneurial project, Ramon returned to Europe where he was presented with the opportunity to get back into logistics, this time for the retail industry with Inditex. Ramon spent five years at Inditex, in Ireland and Spain, which formed a solid foundation for his wealth of experience in eCommerce supply chain management and cross-border logistics.
Upon moving to Hong Kong in 2016, Ramon founded the Artos Group. Through the Artos Group, Ramon worked as a consultant with several eCommerce and logistics businesses helping to improve their logistics capabilities and reduce costs. While operating under Artos, Ramon began working with Aramex Global Solutions. In 2017, He joined the company as GM of Asia Pacific business operations. In late 2018, Ramon assisted with AGS acquisition by Australia Post Global eCommerce Solutions.

- Spanish Chamber of Commerce – Active member for the Supply Chain and Logistics Committee in Hong Kong
Not only does Ramon hold a deep passion for eCommerce, logistics, and entrepreneurship, but he also enjoys giving back. In his spare time, Ramon works with HandsOn Hong Kong and Food Angel. HandsOn Hong Kong provides accessible services to ethnic minorities in Hong Kong while Food Angel collects and redistributes leftover food to those who are less fortunate.
